31-40 – Influential Jewish Athletes of All Time

31. Al Rosen – The former MVP is easily one of the great Jewish baseball players and considered by many as a top 5.

32. Ken Holtzman – The second greatest Jewish pitcher with 2 no-hitters and 3 World Series Championships.

33. Jay Fiedler – Fiedler brought so much attention back to Jews in football. He is at the very top of the greatest Jewish football players and likely the second greatest quarterback.

34. Steve Stone – Right behind Holtzman is Stone, former Cy Young and has continued to be an influence through the announcer booth.

35. Dara Torres – 4-Time Olympic Gold, Silver, and Bronza medalist in many ways Torres is the standard for women’s swimming.

36. Barney Ross – Boxing champion, war veteran, and known as the Pride of the Ghetto, Ross is a legend amongst Jewish athletes.

37. Ryan Braun – The MVP would likely be higher on this list but his lack of involvement in Team Israel Baseball or Jewish baseball plus the scandal has him lower than we would like.

38. Nancy Lieberman – Before there was Caitlin Clark, Maya Moore and Sheryl Swoopes there was the original GOAT Lieberman. Far ahead of her time, Lieberman is still active as a coach and won the BIG 3 Championship.

39. Jon Scheyer – Scheyer was not the pro we thought he would be but his college success has him very high on this list. Now at Duke as a Head Coach, his visibility in March Madness open doors for Jewish basketball.

40. Donna Orender – Orender has had most of her impact after she left her playing days behind her. She was the President of the WNBA from 2005-2011 and is very active with the Maccabi Games.
