41. Deni Avdija – New-ish to the NBA, Deni is the 3rd Israeli to lace them up in the NBA. He will have a similar impact as Omri just 10 years in the future.
42. Bill Goldberg – Goldberg’s name is synonymous with wrestling and he is proudly Jewish. He mostly notable did a stint celebrating Hanukkah on the Man-Show.
43. Benny Friedman – Pro and College Hall of Famer, a 4x First Team All Pro!
44. Ron Blomberg – Blomberg’s a former #1 overall pick by the Yankees whose career was cut short to injury. However, his biggest accolade was that he became the 1st ever Designated Hitter in MLB History.
45. Moe Berg – Berg’s spy story was legendary but he was also a great ball player. He played for 16 seasons.
46. Ossie Schectman – A few members of this group has one incredible league defining feat including Schectman who scored the first point ever in the NBA.
47. Keri Strug – 1996 Gold Medalist also placed Bronze in 1992. Strug’s overcame an ankle injury in a heroic victory.
48. Kevin Youkilis – The Youk is a 3x All Star, 2x World Series Champion and in many ways had a style that changed the sport (discussed in Moneyball). Youk has also served as a team manager for Team Israel Baseball and has been very vocal since October 7th.
49. Art Shamsky – Part of the 1969 Mets, Shamsky was also an inaugural manager in the Israel Baseball League.
50. Shahar Pe’er – Pe’er, Israeli, is considered the greatest Jewish female tennis player. She has 5 career singles titles and 3 in doubles.
