Team Israel mainstays, Ryan Lavarnway and Ty Kelly have found potential new life in baseball. Lavarnway will enter camp with the Detroit Tigers potentially serving as a 3rd catcher. This is Lavarnway’s 9th team spending last season with the Indians (Guardians). Kelly is in camp with the Dodgers where former teammate Blake Gailen is now coaching. Kelly has been in camp with 8 different teams but has not played in the Major Leagues since 2018 with the Mets. He had previously retired. Good luck to both!
