On the heels of Max Fried and Joc Pederson winning a Championship, Jewish Baseball is already off to a busy start.

A Mazel Tov to Fried who won his first Gold Glove Award and Silver Slugger Award! The winning pitcher of the World Series is having quite the offseason.

Pederson declined his $10M mutual option taking a $2.5M buyout. He hopes his Joctober run helps him in free agency.

Giants Manager Gabe Kapler signed a contract extension through 2024. His original deal would have ended this upcoming season. Kapler is coming off leading the Giants to one of their best seasons in franchise history.

Kevin Pillar also chose free agency rather than staying with the Mets. Pillar had a 2022 player option of $2.9M. He is betting on himself with a thin market of centerfielders.

The Phillies claimed left-handed reliever Ryan Sherriff of waivers from the Rays. He hopes to stay with the team that needs bullpen help.

Astros third baseman Alex Bregman had surgery immediately following the World Series. He should be ready for Spring Training.

In sad news, Tyler Herron, pitcher for Team Israel World Baseball Classic in 2017, passed away at only 35 years old. Our prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.
