A brief look at the NEW XFL there are some Jewish connections:
- The Dallas Renegades drafted former New York Giants Offensive Lineman Adam Bisnowaty. Bisnowaty played in the NFL briefly and has bounced around the league unable to make a final roster. This is a big opportunity for him to prove his worth.
- Former Chicago Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman will coach the Tampa Bay Vipers. Trestman is a legendary CFL Head Coach and has several roles in the NFL. His quarterback will be Aaron Murray. Murray has most recently been in TV. Murray’s mother is Jewish though he identifies as catholic. Murray played in the NFL with the Chiefs, primarily as a backup quarterback.
- Former Florida Gator Drew Ferris was in the XFL draft pool but went undrafted. It is possible he will join a team in the near future.
- Sam Schwartzstein will serve as the XFL’s Director of Football Operations. Checkout TGR’s interview with Schwartzstein.
- Daniel Braverman, former Bears WR, has signed with the St. Louis BattleHawks.*(addition)
