- Sandy Koufax – The GOAT. Not too much more to say. We just passed Yom Kippur. Every single family mention Koufax at some point.
- Hank Greenberg – Greenberg was ahead of his time. Years taken away by war, he was the model of a Jewish athlete. Not just crushing the ball but exemplifying pride in his Judaism.
- Sid Luckman – It still amazes us that Luckman is the greatest Bears QB of all time and one of the greatest to ever sling it. All NFL players stand on the shoulders of his greatness.
- Julian Edelman – While an argument can be made the Edelman isn’t the second greatest Jewish NFL player of all -time, our vote is for Andre Tippett, Edelman has brought so much positive attention to Israel and his Jewish growth.
- Dolph Schayes – Schayes is still considered one of the greatest basketball players of all-time. His son Danny carried his torch, but so far no one has come close to Schayes hoops ability.
We had a lot of fun creating this list. What should we cover next?
