Kevin Pillar, recently cut by the White Sox, has been added to the Angels roster after the injury to Mike Trout. Pillar will play his natural outfield positions.

Meanwhile the White Sox recalled Jared Schuster from AAA and the crosstown rival Cubs recalled Matt Mervis (but subsequently sent back down to AAA Iowa).

Currently, in AAA Evan Kravetz has looked solid for the Reds. Zack Weiss is nearing another run in the Majors with the Twins AAA Saint Paul Saints. Chase Stumpf is alongside Mervis in Iowa.
